Where are you located and in which places do you organize tours?

CicloToscana is located in Terricciola (PI) at Via Podernuovo 2, and in Florence (Meeting point at Piazza Ognissanti, in the historic city center). Currently, we organize Premium E-Bike Tours in the following locations (subject to updates): Florence, the Chianti hills, Pisa and the Parco di San Rossore, the Pisan coast, the hills of Valdera (Terricciola, Peccioli, Lajatico), the Livorno coast, San Gimignano, and Volterra.

What does "Premium E-Bike Tour" mean?

CicloToscana offers the opportunity to discover the beauties of Tuscany through guided E-Bike tours, with varying durations (from 2 to 7 hours). We offer a Premium service as we organize private tours based on experiences such as tastings, meditation, and other unforgettable activities.

How does an E-Bike work?

The E-Bike (or "pedal-assist bike") has an electric motor and a battery: these will allow you to pedal with complete ease. The electric motor with different levels of assistance will help you pedal, making it enjoyable and effortless. CicloToscana's E-Bikes are modern, equipped according to current Italian law, and regularly checked to offer maximum safety.

What is recommended to bring on the tour?

We recommend wearing soft and cool clothing, bringing a small backpack, wearing closed shoes, and avoiding skirts and wide pants that might interfere with the movement of the bicycle. Everything else will be provided free of charge by CicloToscana.

I don't know how to ride a bicycle: can I join the tour?

In this case, we strongly advise against participating in one of our Premium Tours as it requires the ability to ride a bicycle and to adhere to the Italian Highway Code.

Is insurance coverage available?

Insurance coverage is offered free of charge by CicloToscana but remains optional: after booking, if you opt for insurance coverage, we ask you to send us an email at info@ciclotoscana.com informing us of your decision and providing the data of each individual participant so that the information can be transmitted to the insurance agency. This will always and only be possible within 48 hours of the scheduled departure of the tour.

I have joint and posture problems: can I still participate in the tour?

We strongly advise against participating in the tour if you have conditions that may worsen with the use of a bicycle. By booking the tour, the Client declares themselves responsible for their current physical condition.

By booking a Premium Tour, will it be possible to access museums?

CicloToscana is exclusively dedicated to Premium E-Bike Tours, therefore, entrance to museums and similar attractions is never included. We recommend booking any visits to museums independently either before or after our tour, allowing (if booked after the E-Bike tour) approximately 1 hour of extra time after the tour ends to ensure easy and relaxed access to any museums.

We have children: can they join the tour?

Currently, CicloToscana offers the option of a child seat (for children under 3 years old) only for the Florence and Chianti Hills tours. The minimum height to participate in the tour is 1.55 meters.

How is the payment for the booking made?

The payment on Ciclotoscana.com is entirely processed by PayPal, the world leader in online payments, ensuring both transparency and maximum security. At the time of booking, a deposit is made, while the remaining balance can be paid before departure via credit card, PayPal, instant bank transfer, or in cash. In the latter case, we ask that you have the exact amount, as our guides may not have the necessary cash for change. You will receive the electronic invoice at the email address provided during registration.

When is the refund expected?

The full refund is made via PayPal to the email address provided at the time of booking and is approximately 95% of the amount paid (this is because PayPal itself immediately retains a variable fee and therefore this amount is not in our accounting availability, being retained by PayPal itself).
Cancellation of the tour is possible up to 24 hours before the scheduled departure time, and the refund is processed within 4-5 business days after the request. The refund request must always be sent by email to info@ciclotoscana.com.
